Shreds of Evidence
As Caroline and Michael’s first film, “Shreds of Evidence” was originally created in 2021. Due to the pandemic, all actors were required to wear masks, creating a barrier between the characters and the camera. Miraculously, the film still went go on to score the duo their first film festival acclaim. In 2023, feeling that the original film was strong but amateur, the two decided to recreate the entire thing. The final film was shot within a week, and Michael’s father, Chance DeMar, provided the unique score.
Directed by Michael DeMar and written by Caroline Sheridan, this comedy/mystery film parodies an investigative documentary, following Caroline as they track down the culprit of a most vicious crime: the theft of pencil sharpeners. Michael begrudgingly tags along behind the camera as the mystery unfolds.
